4 out of 5 stars Worth a Try.   May 25, 2010

We've pretty much replaced all of our incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs and we're now in the gradual replacement of those bulbs with the second and third bulb. I'd say there's no way that these fluorescent bulbs last up to five times longer. In any case, they do seem to save electricity. One of the problems we've had is that spotlight bulbs don't seem to throw out as much candlepower as they are supposed to. As such, our new outdoors replacements are now being escalated to 120 watt models which seem a bit brighter. They also seem to warm up a bit faster than the older ones. Hopefully, they'll last as long as they are supposed to. In general, I prefer the older incandescent bulbs, but I'm willing to give these a try.
